The initiative was born in 2016 from an invitation from a university of São Paulo to present methodologies of urban space analysis. After formating the pilot course, the team noticed the importance of discussing new urban design concepts and processes inside the of Architecture and Urbanism schools.
The main objective of the initiative is to help instruct urban designers and architects to work on the urban scale using new tools for reading and designing city’s spaces.
In addition to the physical space analysis, it is also essential to encourage future urban designers and planners on engaging with the community and designing collaboratively. By understanding the different dynamics of space, the project design will consider the main physical challenges and opportunities together with the people who use the space.
